WHAT + WHY

Saturday, October 8, Feeding the Hudson Valley Brought together an alliance of organizations to raise awareness of food waste and the social and environmental impacts oF this global problem – all while shining a light on the menu of local solutions that exist to tackle it in the Hudson Valley. 

Held to coincide with the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley‘s “Walk to Fight Hunger” that day (10am-12pm), Feeding the Hudson Valley officially kicked off at 11am, lasting until 3pm that afternoon. In addition to the free meal, event activities included cooking demonstrations, prepared remarks from partners, booths staffed by local organizations, live music and more.
