WHAT + WHY

Food is a precious resource! In the Front Range region of Colorado, it is estimated that Denver has a two-day supply of food, with less than 1 percent of Colorado’s food produced in the state.

To emphasize just how important treasuring this precious resource is, FEEDING THE 5000 FRONT RANGE JOINed THE MASSES OF THOSE READY TO TAKE #FOODWASTE #OFFTHEMENU!

Friday, October 14, Feeding the 5000 Front Range was live from Skyline Park in downtown Denver, coinciding with the weekend of World Food Day (October 16) to display the delicious solutions of using food wisely.

From 11am-4pm, Feeding the 5000 Front Range took place in downtown Denver’s Skyline Park, to serve thousands of members of the public a delicious free feast, sourced entirely from fresh, top-quality produce that would have otherwise been wasted.

In addition to the free lunch, there was a variety of personalities and activities on the day, not to mention plenty of ways to get involved in the lead-up... READ ON FOR MORE INFO!
